As a Test Engineer at ABB Smart Power in Quartino, you will support the testing and verification of UPS products, ensuring their reliability and performance. Tasks
- Assist in testing and verification activities for UPS products of ABB Smart Power in Quartino.
- Define troubleshooting procedures and handle troubleshooting level two for new events not covered by current procedures.
- Maintain, change, and optimise test instructions for mass production in consultation with the R&D Engineer.
- Provide technical support during the installation of test objects in the test area.
- Assist the Production Supervisor in defining and maintaining the skill matrix for test operators.
Requirements
- A degree in electrical/electronic or a similar field is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in UPS, service technician, or engineering, testing, or related fields is required.
- Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools, including measurement with a power meter and oscilloscope, is essential.
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines is necessary.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies is expected.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills are required.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
