As a Material Planner at ABB in Switzerland, you will manage end-to-end planning and execution of inventory for the Quartino site. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative energy solutions within a global leader in industrial technology.
Tasks
- Define inventory policies based on segmentation, including ABC/XYZ analysis to optimise inventory strategies and service performance.
- Calculate and maintain inventory parameters such as safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies in SAP.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate material planning with call-offs, ensuring purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders with operations, buyers, and services.
- Work closely with buyers to achieve on-time delivery, minimum order quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility, shaping supplier performance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of logistics flows and operational dynamics to ensure efficient material availability, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain coordination.
- Oversee order portfolio management and inventory optimisation.
Requirements
- A degree in Management Engineering is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience of over five years in material planning is required.
- Profound knowledge in SAP MM/PP, MS Excel, and Power BI is essential.
- Strong skills in data analysis, structured thinking, teamwork, and communication are necessary.
- Fluency in Italian and English is required.
